Referrals
You do not require a referral to attend our practice unless you are claiming medicare or DVA rebates (see information in fees section regarding medicare rebates).
Appointment Duration
A one hour appointment is required for an initial appointment and subsequent treatments will be half an hour.

Your Dietitian will take a full history and examine the area of concern in order to develop a treatment plan.

Practising Dietitian
Jessica has a keen interest in helping people achieve healthy behaviors and develop positive relationships with food. Since graduating as a Dietitian in 2022, Jessica has been dedicated to promoting better health through nutrition.
Her work in public health has allowed her to focus particularly on the nutritional needs of primary school-aged children. Jessica's approach is centered on creating supportive environments where children can learn and adopt healthy eating habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Jessica's interests include: child and adolescent nutrition (fussy eating, growth issues, disordered eating etc), supporting families to create healthy eating habits and general healthy eating.
Her work is characterized by a compassionate and holistic approach, aiming not just to address immediate nutritional concerns, but also to instill lasting positive behaviors and attitudes towards food.

Fees
Initial consultation: $120
Routine appointment: $90 per 1/2 hour duration.
For your convenience we can accept cash, credit card or debit card payments.
Medicare Rebates
If you have a chronic medical condition that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer (Eg, cardiovascular disease, diabetes) you may be entitled to receive a medicare rebate for a maximum of five sessions per calendar year under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
As of July 2022, clients with a CDM plan may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $56.00 after their dietetics appointment.
If you have a GP referral and a team care arrangement you will be entitled to a medicare rebate which covers a portion of the appointment fee, although you will still be required to pay a ‘gap’ fee. Your rebate can be deposited directly back into your bank account immediately following payment of your appointment fee.

Private Health Insurance
Our staff are registered with most major health funds. Many private health funds offer rebates for physiotherapy services. Please check with your private health insurance provider to see if you are eligible to claim for physiotherapy services.
National Disability Insurance Scheme
We are also a registered NDIS provider. Please send all referrals through to reception@newabilityhealth.com.au
